Ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds chemically to a vehicle’s clear coat and cures into a hard, protective layer. Unlike wax or a paint sealant, which sit on top of the paint and wear away with washing, this protective layer creates a semi-permanent surface that repels contaminants, blocks UV radiation, and makes the vehicle significantly easier to maintain.
Paint surfaces protected by ceramic coating shed water, road grime, bird droppings, tree sap, and environmental fallout rather than absorbing them. The result is a surface that maintains its condition longer, requires less maintenance effort between washes, and holds its gloss depth over time.
Ceramic coating is not a substitute for paint correction. If swirl marks or scratches are present in the clear coat before application, the coating will lock them in rather than conceal them. We address this during our inspection and recommend correction if the paint condition warrants it before we apply anything.
Bonds directly to your vehicle's clear coat, creating a durable protective layer.
Repels water, road grime, bird droppings, tree sap, and other contaminants.
Delivers long-term gloss and protection when applied to properly prepared paint.
Every ceramic coating application follows a carefully controlled process to ensure maximum durability, performance, and finish quality. From the initial inspection through final curing, each step is completed with precision to create a strong bond between the coating and your vehicle’s clear coat.
We begin with a full vehicle inspection under proper lighting to assess the condition of the paint and identify any contamination, swirl marks, or existing damage. The vehicle is thoroughly washed and given a chemical decontamination pass to clear bonded fallout and grime from the paint before any coating work begins.
Once the surface is clean, we conduct a detailed analysis under inspection lighting. If paint correction is needed prior to coating, which depends on the condition of the clear coat, we discuss our findings and recommend the appropriate correction level before proceeding. Applying a ceramic coating over uncorrected paint is a waste of the product and the investment.
The SystemX ceramic coating is applied panel by panel under controlled conditions. Each panel is leveled and inspected before moving to the next. Proper application technique and panel management are part of the SystemX certification standard, which is why the warranty is tied to certified installers only.
After application, the vehicle enters an initial cure period. We confirm cure status before the vehicle goes back into regular use, and we complete the CARFAX Vehicle Service Record registration. The warranty and application details appear permanently in your CARFAX record.

A professionally applied ceramic coating from a certified installer typically lasts between three and seven years with proper maintenance, depending on the product tier, application conditions, and how the vehicle is cared for afterward. SystemX offers multiple coating tiers with different longevity targets, which we walk through during consultation. Consumer-grade ceramic spray products sold at auto parts retailers are not the same product. They last weeks to a few months, not years, and they do not register any warranty with CARFAX.
Ceramic coating adds hardness to your paint’s surface, which increases resistance to light swirls and fine surface scratches from washing. It does not prevent rock chips, deeper scratches from keys or abrasive contact, or any damage that penetrates the clear coat. For full impact and scratch protection, paint protection film (PPF) is the appropriate product. Ceramic coating and PPF are often paired, with coating applied over the film to add hydrophobic properties on top of the impact resistance. We can discuss both options during consultation.
Yes, and a new vehicle is the best time to do it. The paint is in factory condition, which means no pre-existing swirls or defects to correct before application. Coating a new vehicle from the start protects its condition from day one. Waiting means accumulating UV exposure, environmental contamination, and washing swirls that may require paint correction before the coating can be properly applied. The earlier you protect, the less work is needed before the coating goes on.
